Second Question


2. How are you initially envisioning using blogging in the classroom? What specific curricular units/projects/assignments might lend themselves to a blog project?

  2. I see students engaging in asynchronous discussions that we revisit throughout the year.

  3. Warm-up in Digital Photo class; sts can comment on a photo. If they have their own blogs, they could post photos and get critiques. Also, maybe a classwide blog where sts have the power to upload photos and critique each others' work.

  4. One initial thought is to have students practice the past tense in Spanish by blogging about what they did over the weekend. I traditionally do this in class on Mondays but this would be a much more interactive way to accomplish this goal.

  8. I would love to use it as an into to start a lesson with their thoughts already available to examine.

  9. I envision using blogging in my health class starting with weekly current events assignments. Blogging may also work for specific health units : healthy relationships and addiction units. For pe they may be able to blog about community fitness classes they have attended and post their experiences.

  10. Now that I think about it, I see blogging as a vehicle for students to provide me w/ feedback, especially because they can do so anonymously.

  11. After reading an article along with text from class, students can make connections and get ideas for synthesis from peers comments.
